On the road again with our travelling companions

Enjoying the scenery as we travel in “Parsley” the Peugeot and stopping off to research areas as our possible next home base.

Thought you might like to join in with us, with the following photos?

The scallop shells are carried by the pilgrims

Last couple of days we’ve been around the area of Confolens. So much history, so much to learn.

We then took a short drive to Saint-Germain-de-Confolens. The village grew up in the Middle Ages at the foot of the castle on the banks of the Issoire and Vienne rivers.

These fabulous old places have the most amazing and emotionally moving cemeteries. So many memorials and tombstones from past wars.

Looks like you are covering a lot of ground(miles)…!!! Hope you are making progress with house hunting and not too much sightseeing.. All good here apart from weather..
Safe travels and happy hunting..!!!
Certainly getting to see the countryside and becoming familiar with different areas.
Hope to have some exciting news in the not too distant future!
Sue and Chris. That looks so good and beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing them. Very cold and wintery here today. Photos from Ballarat of horses working in the snow!! The virus now really having an impact on people but probably not affecting us too much personally. Goodness knows what it will do to the economy and people’s lives. Take good care of yourself and I look forward to more photos!
Good to hear you’re not being effected by the”plague” too much. Sounds like Victoria is at the stage we were in the Uk earlier in the year Liz. Over here currently masks are compulsory in shops and should be worn anywhere that is crowded- places we try to avoid!
I recognise the ‘abbot’ holding the stained glass window – know exactly where that is.
Is there anywhere you haven’t been Dave??!
Antarctica…. India and the Far East sis…. still haven’t found who or what I’m looking for….
Keep looking and having fun!
Lots of plein air opportunities Sue. Renovations are moving along slowly with the garage not too far from completion. Quiet and beautiful around Narooma at the moment, although poor old small businesses are doing it tough. Masks strongly recommended in NSW in supermarkets, Bunnings and crowds. Victoria has many more restrictions. Like you, we avoid the crowds. Missing Joe and family in Victoria and friends far away. Take care, much love to you both. Do you have an email?
Good to hear you’re keeping safe Robby and Bill. It does sound like Australia is now at the stage we were back in April in UK. Everyone here seems very good about wearing masks in the public areas we go too and they are obligatory in shops. Keep busy with the renos and your fabulous veggie garden and we’ll all look to the future xx
