Each morning we wander off down the drive and get “Lost in France” (anyone else old enough to remember that great song!?)
We’d certainly cover a few more kms on a horse but enjoy the walk and pretend that it’s good for us. Something has to offset the cheese and wine!

We’re usually out for about an hour as long as we don’t get seriously lost and occasionally meet the locals. Next two photos are especially for you Jim.

Yesterday we also came across this fellow up the hill and around the corner. Harness racing is so popular throughout France.

Back to base via another route, before heading out in “Parsley” to drive by some houses for sale.
Although yesterday was Bastille Day and usually hugely celebrated here, we are still very aware of social distancing in these crazy times, so we chose to “celebrate” with a supper of escargots and local rose🍷

Lost In France – Bonnie Tyler ? Once you’ve got your own place Sue, I can’t believe you wouldn’t be tempted to keep a hack in some outhouse, nothing too strenuous…. just something to ride out in the countryside. A bit like me keeping a couple of motorbikes !
Yep, thought it was Bonnie Tyler😊
Enjoying the independence and lack of responsibilities Dave. Much as we loved our life “on the farm” and our animals they are a tie. At least a bike just gets wheeled into the garage and that’s it!
Checking…..Looks fantastic Sue and Chris. I will just keep dreaming from lockdown. And bikes are definitely more practical for last minute getaways. One day ….
I also have to admit to a Mondegreen. I’ve always thought Bonnie Tyler was ‘Lost in rags’ 😂. Clearly I never saw the film clip. Thanks for clearing that up.
Loving the photos Sue and Chris, worth waiting for. So Idyllic. Looks like NSW is starting to have a few COVID cases now too. Hope they get it under control soon. Glad you are staying safe. Look forward to the next instalment.
All looks heavenly!
So much history and wonderful architecture, here’s hoping your cancelled visit will eventually be realised. Xx
Great to see Sue and Chris. Looks wonderful. Things are not good in Victoria although not really affecting us personally. Hope it keeps that way. Everyone is really keeping their distance from others. Not sure when we will have confidence to get in groups again. Not sure if I told you, but we have brought a mare – Sun Galaxy – to send to Cliff’s Edge this year. She is in foal to Fiorente, due October. We are keeping her at Bucklee Farm (Leanne Smith) in Greta West. Hard to give it all up. I really look forward to seeing photos of the house you may buy. The country looks so wonderful. I am already planning my holiday when this virus has pass us all by!
Look forward to photos of the new mare Liz. We’ll certainly let you know once we have a house you can visit!
Love all your pictures Sue and Chris.
Dawn!!!! So good to hear from you. We were concerned when we had no response to Chris letter. Hope you’re both well and staying safe down there. Xx
