A Happy New Year !!
2022 has arrived and all that it brings. Here in our quiet little corner of France life is soon back to normal after Christmas/ New Year festivities. The exact opposite to the 6week summer break we remember in Australia 😂
So currently it’s winter although you wouldn’t know it! If this mild weather keeps up it will be a very short one. Still able to get out and about walking/cycling and despite the dreaded Covid there are no travel restrictions within France.
Our New Year resolution is to try and explore our local area more with a dedicated once a week outing, we’ll see how long that lasts! We need to know more so that we can inform all those visitors we hope to see in the year ahead?!
Meanwhile just a few shots of local village decorations and our favourite walks.
Little Christmas penguin in nearby St Fraigne
And some of his mates.
Our little hamlet had Xmas trees and Santas, all made from pallets and decorated by the commune leading up to Christmas.
Just around the corner from us near an old weighbridge, a glorious day for a walk.
The same spot at night.
Chose the same colour for our Christmas theme😂
Some of our neighbours
Spot the frog! All very active at this time of year in our clear river waters.
That’s a big frog ! Who chooses which theme a village will use, is it the Mairie.
Yes I think it probably is organised through the Mairie Dave.
