February is nearly over and a week ago I ‘celebrated’ a milestone birthday. How is it that your mind says you are thirty years younger than your body!!😂
A ‘shake down’ trip for Tonto took us onto the Île de Re but we managed to pick the only bad weather day in a stunning blue sky week, so didn’t stay as long as planned and will return again no doubt later in the year.
We headed on to Chatelaillon-Plage for an overnight stop and a stroll along the seafront, being somewhat out of season we were limited with restaurant choices and decided to dine in our little house on wheels.😊

The weather here is becoming milder as we head towards Spring, with a few changes to be made in the garden and trips to plan.
Hopefully we will have a full season of travelling in ‘Tonto’ (now that some issues have been sorted by a nearby auto electric magician).
We took another run out this time to Bellac to meet up with the Plein Air Charente group, a lovely bunch of artists who meet each month at different spots around our area.

It’s all very well watching ‘Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year’ but getting out there and doing it is another matter! ‘Not easy Jan’ 😂
Well, that’s it for this month xx
Let’s hope Tonto behaves this year – and yes you’re brave, or mad, to go en plein air in January !
Your birthday meal a la Chris looked magic! I am sure you had a great day.
Belated happy birthday Sue. The big numbers seem to have arrived in the blink of an eye. I loved our chat recently. Tonto looks amazing, perfect for travelling around and about. xx
