I was planning to just do an update once a month, especially as we are under Covid regulations at the moment. However as I use this little blog as something of a personal diary as well as recording our life in France (for those that are interested) there was something I wanted to record – the death of HRH Prince Philip.

Yesterday the 17th April “The Duke” travelled to his final resting place in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor. He was just a few weeks short of his 100th Birthday, a remarkable man and what an honour it was to work for him over 50 years ago.

Back to the present and back to France, last week we discovered our local medieval church. On a gorgeous Spring day we took a wander around this 12th century beauty. The priory is unfortunately now a ruin but the interior of the church is still in use and in “normal times” concerts are held within the ruins.

The other memorable aspect of the week was another challenge dealing with French bureaucracy- we are slowly getting there but I couldn’t resist this!!!!
